New Vacancy: Marketing & Communications Assistant

Full-time role, based in Brussels

ChinaEU is currently seeking to hire a highly motivated Marketing & Communications Assistant to help the team deliver on new projects.

Your main tasks:

  • Handle ChinaEU’s communication plan, including drafting content for the website, newsletters, speeches, press releases and social media channels, and proposing possible improvements or new communications initiatives.
  • Conduct desk research and compile information on China and the EU’s digital markets, when relevant to current or future projects.
  • Assist ChinaEU in events planning and organization and, eventually, act as event manager.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of ChinaEU’s website, database of contacts, and mailing list.
  • Engage with current and potential partners, hear their expectations and suggest possible marketing initiatives to respond to their needs.

Your Profile:

  • You have 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in communications or marketing fields.
  • You hold a Master Degree in international affairs, marketing, communication, journalism, public relations, Chinese studies or a relevant field.
  • You have excellent proficiency in English and a good knowledge of Mandarin Chinese (preferable).
  • You have a passion for relations with China, ideally on the technology and innovation side.
  • You have a good command of MS Office tools. A certain level of experience in website management and graphic processing would be beneficial.
  • You have good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • You are proactive, eager to learn with a ‘can-do’ attitude and have a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving context.
  • You are able to work in Brussels, Belgium.
